Our Lady of the Rocks

The church & museum

A blue-domed Baroque church and a museum of sailors' votive gifts, on the islet built by the people of Perast.

The church of Our Lady of the Rocks fills most of the islet. Its blue dome and bell tower are the symbol of Perast.

Inside, the walls are covered with paintings by Tripo Kokolja, a 17th-century painter from Perast, and with silver votive tablets — thanks offered by sailors who survived storms and battles. A small museum displays more gifts, model ships and local maritime history.
