Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela) stands on a small islet just off Perast, about halfway along the Bay of Kotor. You can only reach it by boat — but the crossing takes minutes.

Ways to get there

On the islet

  • The church — a 17th-century Baroque church with its distinctive blue dome
  • The museum — votive gifts and paintings donated by sailors and their families over centuries
  • The views — straight across to St George island and down the Verige strait

Plan on 30–45 minutes on the island. Entry to the church and museum is a small fee paid on site.

Tips

  • Go early or late in the day: cruise-ship groups usually arrive mid-morning.
  • Combine the islet with a walk through Perast — its waterfront palaces and the bell tower of St Nicholas are worth an hour.
  • Modest dress is appreciated inside the church.
